Job Opportunity: Professor Position on Democracy and Parliamentary Institutions, Université Laval

The Department of Political Science at Université Laval, in collaboration with the Research Chair on Democracy and Parliamentary Institutions, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position on Democracy and Parliamentary Institutions to begin June 1, 2020. Hire will be at the rank of Assistant Professor.

Duties include teaching at all three levels of study, supervising Master’s and Doctoral students, engaging in ongoing research and publication, participating in all aspects of academic life and upholding the reputation of Université Laval, and discharging all other activities foreseen in the Collective Agreement.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in political science or related disciplines (candidates who are near completion will also be considered), demonstrated excellence in teaching and peer-reviewed publications. Preference will be given to candidates having the ability to teach methodology at all levels of study. A demonstrated aptitude to carry out applied research with institutional partners will be considered as an asset.
