Kernaghan Award for Excellence in Research

The Kenneth Kernaghan Award for Excellence in Research is for career achievement in research by a faculty member who is part of the Canadian public administration community as evidenced by being appointed at a Canadian university or college program that is a member of CAPPA or being a Canadian citizen appointed at a public administration or policy program outside Canada. The award honours the memory of Kenneth Kernaghan, a distinguished public administration researcher, especially in the area of ethics and values, who taught for many years at Brock University, and served as editor of Canadian Public Administration.

National Student and Thought Leadership Awards in Public Administration

The National Student and Thought Leadership Awards in Public Administration is a joint initiative of CAPPA and the Institute of Public Administration of Canada (IPAC). It aims to recognize talent in Canadian schools at the regional level and at the national level. It promotes excellence in public administration and showcases the top talent emerging from Canadian programs each year.

DeCelles Award for Excellence in Teaching Public Administration

The Pierre DeCelles Award for Excellence in Teaching Public Administration is aimed at excellent mid- or late-career post-secondary teachers in the field of public administration and recognizes the outstanding skill, accomplishment, innovation, and commitment of an exceptionally creative and effective teacher who is worthy of emulation. The award honours the memory of Professor Pierre DeCelles, who taught for many years at the École nationale d’administration publique, was recognized for his teaching there, and was ENAP’s Director General.
