Pierre DeCelles Award for Excellence in Teaching 2024: Canadian Association of Programs in Public Administration
The Canadian Association of Programs in Public Administration (CAPPA) is pleased to announce the winner of the 2024 Pierre DeCelles Award for Excellence in Teaching is Professor Tim Mau, Department of Political Science, University of Guelph.
Professor Mau is an experienced and popular instructor who has taught a great variety of public administration and public sector leadership courses from introductory to graduate seminars. He is well known and appreciated for his innovative approach and engagement with his students. He has served for many years as the chair of the department’s undergraduate program committee, playing a leading role in designing the undergraduate curriculum. He is also the co-author of the popular text Public Administration in Canada.

CAPPA’s Pierre De Celles Award recognizes the outstanding skill, accomplishment and commitment of an exceptionally creative and effective teacher. Pierre De Celles was Director General of École nationale d’administration publique (ÉNAP), and was known as a gifted teacher.
